He holds a number of key competencies, including strategic and tactical business planning, financial reporting, business analysis, regulatory compliance, internal controls, cost reduction, organizational leadership, foreign currency accounting, and intercompany accounting and reconciliations. He also has extensive experience with statistical analysis, risk management, cross-functional collaboration and process improvement.

Originally from Hyderabad, India, Guru Pandyar received a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce from Nrupatunga Degree College and a Masters in Business Administration with specialization in International & Corporate Finance Management from the National Institute of Management.  Guru Pandyar performed his CA articleship with MGRK Associates, a Hyderabad-based company, before taking an accounting position with Prithvi. There, he rose up in the ranks, moving up to Assistant Manager, then Manager, then Senior Manager in Finance and Accounts and finally Assistant Vice President (Finance and Accounts) – Americas.

Prasad Rao Pandyar Guru is a knowledgeable financial executive and accountant with over 19 years of experience in the management of key accounting and finance functions.

Guru Pandyar relocated to the United States with the company, where he was put in charge of its North and South American operations, handing accounting administration and financial health reports amongst many other responsibilities. He coordinated financial management, accounting, MIS reporting, administration, and corporate operations, and collaborated with executives to evaluate impact of new issues, policy changes, and the development of long-term corporate business plans. He also played a vital role in the successful acquisition and integration of four companies through asset purchases.

In 2014, Guru Pandyar move on to independent consultancy. He became a finance, operations, and accounting consultant for a variety of small businesses. In this capacity, he spearheads the planning, development, and implementation of accounting, payroll, HR, administrative, billing, vendor management, and accounts payable/accounts receivable processes. He is also responsible for conducting comprehensive internal and external audits to ensure compliance with government regulations.

Guru Pandyar particularly enjoys working with startups and small businesses. The process of starting a new venture is both exciting and scary, and he appreciates participating in this process and guiding leadership through avoiding the typical risks involved with entrepreneurship.
